Dorking Golf Club is one of the friendliest clubs in the south of England with exceptional vierws over the South Downs. It is a challenging 9 hole course which was first established in 1897 with the course being redesigned in the early 20th century by James Braid.
We are a members club, run by the members for the members. As a "not-for-profit" organisation, any excess income is reinvested into course and clubhouse improvements.
We offer a range of memberships to suit all abilities and lifestyles with affordable memberships for beginners and experienced golfers alike and no joining fee is required. All memberships provide 7 day playing rights and unrestricted access to the Clubhouse, subject to advertised opening hours. There is also an active social side to the club with fun competitions, members social events, monthly quiz nights, a Bridge club and the weekly Dorking Folk Club.
We have developed a handy Road Map to help guide you to the most suitable Membership, please refer to our Membership Categories web page.
As well as playing at Dorking, we are a member of the Southern 9 Network which entitles club members to enjoy a complimentary round of golf each season at a number of other 9 hole courses based in the South of England.
There is a wealth of information on the following web pages but should you have any questions at all or just wish to learn more about the club, contact our membership secretary at membership@dorkinggolfclub.co.uk
